I wanted to take a few weeks off for the podcast and I thought it was best to not take up any unnecessary airtime from people and outlets that truly need it. And even releasing this episode with Cliff Joseph, who runs marketing at Arista Records, I wanted to make sure that we began the convo talking about the #BlackLivesMatter movement and how important it’s resurgence is. We also talked about how Cliff got his start working in entertainment by cold emailing Paul Rivera, a key member of Lebron James’ inner circle, and how he made the transition to music marketing full time. Cliff also shines a light on how artists should be embracing their uniqueness at all times.
